Physical and rehabilitation medicine doctor
The Physician of Physical and Rehabilitation Medicine (FRM) is responsible for the prevention, diagnosis, treatment and management of rehabilitation process for people of all ages with functional changes caused by illness and co-morbidities.
During the consultation, the doctor evaluates:
- the patient's medical condition and associated functional limitations,
- analysis of laboratory tests,
- opinions of functional specialists and appropriate medical support persons,
- the potential for medical rehabilitation,
- the motivation of the patient and their relatives,
- stability of health status for receiving rehabilitation services.
After assessing the patient's functional condition, the doctor draws up an individual rehabilitation plan and sets deadlines for its implementation.
The rehabilitation plan is agreed with the patient - he is informed about the purpose of the procedures, the impact, the manipulations to be performed and their significance during recovery.
