Cardiologist
The cardiologist's role is to evaluate and treat medically (without surgery) heart problems.
Cardiologists of Zemgale Health Center diagnose and treat the entire spectrum of diseases of the cardiovascular system:
- ischemic heart disease (SIS - angina, heart attack);
- arterial hypertension and its complications (stroke);
- heart rhythm problems;
- acquired and congenital rheumatic heart disease;
- and other diseases.
In the forst meeting the cardiologist has a detailed conversation with the patient to discover the first signs of the disease,, to determine the time of the appearance of complaints and the connection with other diseases.
In case of diseases of the cardiovascular system, modern functional diagnostic methods are used:
- Electrocardiography;
- Bicycle ergometry;
- Echocardiography;
- Holter monitoring;
