A midwife
Midwife:
- takes care of the pregnant mother - the expectant mother all the time she is expecting a baby;
- manages and is responsible for physiological pregnancy, childbirth, and the postnatal period,
- educates and provides consultations on the course of pregnancy, physiology, childbirth process, breathing techniques, childbirth postures, postpartum period, proper care of the newborn, on breastfeeding;
- send the expectant mother to a family doctor or another specialist if there are doubts about the woman's health;
- assess whether the pregnant woman has a risk that requires cooperation with another doctor.
- perform a cardiotocography examination for the examination of fetal heart tones.
